Afenifere condemns in the strongest terms the political violence visited on Nigerians of Ndigbo extraction in Lagos during the Saturday Presidential elections.  Dirty political merchants and their band of thugs apart from engineering political disenfranchisement of Ndigbo,went ahead to visit violence on them and burning their votes en masse. The political vandals they used were said to have been calling themselves OPC but our checks with the genuine leaders of the group have shown that the deragend elements had no affiliation with the OPC known by Afenifere. We frown seriously at the failure of the security agencies to give adequate cover to Ndigbo in the affected communities as these thugs went berserk carrying out the instructions of their sinking political godfathers. BREAKING!!! A NEW FACTION OF THE ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC) HAS EMERGED IN ABUJA

The new faction is named Reformed-APC (R-APC) with Buba Galadima appointed as the Chairman. The new faction is made up of aggrieved members of the APC, mostly from the National Assembly. Briefing journalists after their meeting at the Sheraton Hotels in Abuja this evening, the chairman, Galadima, said the new faction was formed due to the failure of the APC. They described APC as “severely underperforming and unable to meet its potentials for good governance.” During the  Nigerian Fourth Republic , established in May 1999, Galadima became a chieftain of the leading opposition party, the  All Nigeria People's Party  (ANPP). In June 2002 Galadima was interviewed on a proposal by President  Olusegun Obasanjo  to restructure local governments in the country. He expressed his party's opposition to the move. RESTORATION CUP 2018: Peretorugbene FC emerge first prize winners

A most competitive tournament by all standards, the Second Henry Seriake Dickson Football Tournament popularly known as Restoration Cup 2018 has finally come to a most thrilling end yesterday at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex, Yenagoa. Up for the first prize of 5 Million Naira were the two finalists Peretorugbene FC and Opu-Nembe FC who both displayed great sportsmanship and determination throughout the duration of thematch. At the end of the day, the supremacy and prowess of Peretorugbene FC came to fore as they proved to be the better of both teams sending Opu-Nembe FC packing after a 2-1 goal count as at full time. It wasn’t a total disappointment for Opu-Nembe FC as they received the second prize of 3 Million Naira while third place winners Otuasega FC went home with N500,000.
