GOVERNOR DICKSON REWARDS EXCELLENCE: EMPLOYS ALL BAYELSA 1st CLASS GRADUATES.



Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State in his bid to invest in human capacity development and to reward excellence, has signed into law, the yearly automatic employment of Bayelsa State First Class graduates.
The Governor has given the beneficiaries the opportunity to make a choice of working in the public service or academia.

The Minister of Defense, Mansur Dan-Ali, has called for the suspension of the implementation of the anti-grazing law.

The minister said that the suspension will reduce the tension in troubled states. He disclosed this on today after a security meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the nation’s capital. According to the minister, “There is a need for the Nigeria police and Department of State Services to prosecute all the suspects arrested in the affected states while negotiating safe routes for the herders. The meeting comes after series of calls by the governors of Benue, Taraba, Rivers and Ekiti calling for an end to the anti-open grazing law. The Federal Government and other security agencies had been accused of neglecting and poorly handling the killings of innocent Nigerians in the troubled states.
