Methodist Church Nigeria honours Barr. Olusegun Adekunle with knighthood - Says honorific award is in recognition of service to God and Humanity

The Methodist Church Nigeria, Archdioceses of Kaduna on Sunday, June 23 honoured 53 individuals from various walks of life who have distinguished themselves in faith and works to the church in service to God and humanity.

The well attended event which took place at the Cathedral of Unity, Wuse Zone 3, Abuja was presided over by Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence, Dr. Samuel Emeka Kanu Uche JP. Present to grace the colourful event were senior government functionaries, prominent Nigerians and families of the award recipients. 

The honrific awards were of four major categories namely, Knights of John Wesley (KJW) which was bestowed on 36 individuals, Knights of Charles Wesley (KCW) 3, Officers of the Order of Wesley (OOW) 8 and Members of the Order of Wesley (MOW) 6. 

Amongst the recipients of the highest award of KJW were Barr. Olusegun Adeyemi Adekunle, Permanent Secretary, General Services, Office of the SGF. 

Sir Olusegun Adekunle, KJW, has over the years continued to put his God given talents, time and resources to use in promoting God's work in communities, churches, the nation and the world at large. He has through these contributions left indelible impressions of  in the lives of many Nigerians.
